TAG -You're IT
ReplyDeleteI'm hoping that this plate will start a fun family tradition that we can enjoy for years to come. I'm starting it as a game which I hope to see go on infinitely. I've named our game TAG- You're IT. I hope everyone contributes to the game and keeps it going. Imagine the fun the kids/grandkids/greatgrandkids/ etc will have when they inherit the tradition and get to read about their ancestors.
When you are tagged it will be your responsibility to fill the plate with something special and TAG someone else. It doesn't have to be a special occasion and it doesn't have to be food related. It could be a movie ticket or gift card, etc. Try to be creative about what you give and how to try to be sneaky about tagging someone.
Don't forget to log who you give/receive the plate from, what was on it, the occasion (if any), and if there was a clever way that you were "tagged"
I've been struggling with ideas on how to get the plate started. I was trying to think of a way to randomly "tag" someone rather than choose a particular family member. But then I had another thought so I will be starting it with my firstborn grandson, Emery.
Today, Jan 1.2010 I am tagging my firstborn grandson Emery. We are having our family Christmas get-together today (due to bad weather last week). Emery spent the night and saw me with the plate and I explained the game to him. He thought it sounded like fun so I decided maybe it would be fun to start with him. Now I no longer have to think of a way to randomly tag one of my own children.
I fixed Emery a snack of mozzarella sticks and marinara sauce and served it up on the plate with a snowman label that said TAG - You're IT. I took a picture but I don't see a way to upload it.
I'm excited to watch everyone get "tagged" and read about their stories.
HAPPY NEW YEAR'S
Sonnie Allen
I was tagged by Grandma Allen. The cheese sticks were delicious and the marinara sauce was good too. Grandma is going to help me find something to put on the plate so I can tag my mom when she comes up today. We are having our family Christmas today because there was too much snow last week.
ReplyDeleteTAG - You're IT MOM,
lOVE YOU, EMERY
I (Shauna/mom to Emery) got the plate from Emery since I had the next birthday, December 31. I won't be putting the year or age of myself on this though. It was an honor to have grandma pick Emery, then Emery pick me to pass it on to. Now, its my turn so stand by and see who I decide to pick............it might show up when you least expect it.......
ReplyDeleteI (Steve Allen)received the plate from Shauna at Colin's birthday party in KC so I am now passing it on to Gary Hurst for his birthday filled with powder covered brownies. "R U Gonna Share em big boy?" Hope you recover from your broken ankle soon. You need to get up and around to bake up something for the plate!
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday! Steve Allen
I(Gary Hurst Steve's brother-in-law) received the plate for my birthday. I am going to "Tag" my great-niece, Adrian. Happy birthday little one. I will leave it up to you to share the "goodies" on your plate. Happy Birthday!
ReplyDeleteI (Adrian) received the plate for my birthday from my great-uncle Gary. I love Uncle Gary, he gave me lots of good treats and some awesome rubber snakes that are now one of my favorite toys. My mom procrastinated so I didn't get to pass the plate to anyone until she helped me fill it with goodies for my Grandma for Mother's Day. We love you Grandma!
ReplyDeleteI (Sonnie) got this plate on Mothers Day from my granddaughter Adrian. It had lots of my favorite 100 calorie snacks on it.
ReplyDeleteNow I get to pass it on to my younger sister Carol for her surprise bday party. Hope you have a fun 50th bday party. I'll let Carol fill in the details on the party.
HAPPY 50TH BIRTHDAY CAROL!!!
I thought I already posted this but can't find it so will try again. Had a great surprise b-day party at Lake of Ozarks with family members. Now I will pass it on to oldest sis Sharon with home-made cookies and bread.
ReplyDeleteThank you Carol for the delicious chocolate chip cookies and cranberry bread --- they were delish!!! Wonder what the Easter bunny is going to bring to Shena's dinner tomorrow on the plate for her? Could it be Easter bunnies and birds nests made out of rice krispies with M&M's? Hope he gets it in the house without her seeing him.
ReplyDeleteI (Maryam -- Sharon's Granddaughter, Shena's cousin's daughter) received this plate from my cousin, CJ (Shena's son). It was full of yummy cookies & candy.
ReplyDeleteToday, I'm giving it to my Grandpa (Gary) full of Independence Day cookies that I helped to make & decorate. Happy Fourth of July, Grandpa!
